Vincent Wang Wellness Center is seeking motivated interns to join our family-friendly medical practice in Flushing.

We welcome students from all backgrounds, especially those interested in healthcare, medicine, or public health. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced healthcare professionals and make a real impact in the lives of patients.


About the internship

Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience in various areas of healthcare, including pediatric, family, and internal medicine, while supporting patient care, assisting with administrative tasks, and learning about preventative and wellness services.

Interns will receive for the $1,200 stipend after the 100 hour minimum requirement is met.

Requirements

▸ Must complete a minimum of 100 hours to receive the $1,200 stipend
▸ Must be Asian as defined by the US Census
▸ Must be at least 16 years old

Qualifications

▸ Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare staff
▸ Organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate patient records and manage multiple tasks
▸ Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team environment while providing excellent customer service
▸ Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accurate information and documentation
▸ Critical thinking skills to assist with basic research and problem-solving within the clinic

▸ Willingness to learn new healthcare procedures and assist with clinical tasks under supervision

Responsibilities

▸ Assist with patient intake and schedule appointments in a professional and timely manner.
▸ Support medical staff with basic administrative tasks such as organizing patient files and updating records.
▸ Help prepare and maintain wellness check-up forms, vaccination records, and other medical documents.
▸ Perform basic data entry tasks ensuring accuracy of patient information.
▸ Provide general assistance to the medical team by preparing examination rooms and ensuring they are well-stocked.
▸ Support with patient outreach for appointment reminders and follow-up communication.
▸ Observe and assist in patient care routines when permitted, under direct supervision.
▸ Assist with research and data collection for ongoing medical projects and wellness initiatives.
▸ Participate in team meetings and observe interactions between healthcare professionals and patients.
▸ Perform other duties as assigned by the Intern Coordinator to support the clinic’s operations.
