Summer Careers Exploration Program

China AIDs Fund (CAF) launched a new program for the Asian American Youth SUMMER CAREER EXPLORATION in 2019.

We have revamped our program with our partnership with the prestigious NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital to offer internships to 6 deserving students that will allow them to gain valuable experience in the medical field.

Here are some key details about the internship program:

  1. Duration & expectations: The internship will take place during this summer break from July 8th to August 16th. Volunteers are expected to complete 100 hours over 6 weeks, 3 days per week in 6-hour shifts.
  2. Eligibility: We invite students at least over the age of 16 and must be fully vaccinated to apply.
  3. Location: Internships will be available at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital | 56-45 Main St, Flushing, NY 11355
  4. Compensation: Stipends of $1,200 will be reimbursed upon completion of the program.
  5. Roles and Responsibilities: Selected interns will have the opportunity to support the staff, support the patients where permitted, and gain experience that introduces them to the healthcare system. Further details will be provided by the hospital.
  6. Deadline: Applicants must apply through our Google form by the end of this month, Friday, May 31st, 2024.
