Details About the Future Asian American Leadership Scholarship
▸Scholarships are for FIVE high school students entering college for the 2024 – 2025 academic year.
▸Award Amount: Tuition scholarship, $3,000 each
▸Distribution Method: A check will be sent directly to the college or university to assist the award recipient with enrollment expenses.
Due Date: Postmark by April 20th, 2024
Criteria to Be Selected
▸Must be a full-time high school student expected to graduate Class of 2024.
▸Must be of Asian Ethnicity as defined by the US Census.
▸Must have a 3.5 GPA or higher. (evidence must be submitted)
▸One Letter of Recommendation: Must provide letter of recommendation from someone who has personal knowledge of the student such as a teacher or student advisor.
▸Essay/Personal Statement: Briefly describe your career goals and how the scholarship will help you achieve them. (12-point font, Times New Roman, double spaced, 3 paragraphs, 300–400-word count)
▸Extracurricular/Community Service: List any extracurricular activities, community service, or leadership roles you have been involved in during high school. (12-point font, Times New Roman, double spaced, max 300 words)
▸Academic Achievements: List any academic achievements, honors, or awards you have received during high school. (12-point font, Times New Roman, double spaced, max 300 words)
